Minnehaha Falls Art Fair - Biking Map.png

Plan Your Visit to the Falls

Parking is difficult at Minnehaha Falls on any given weekend in the summer. It will be even more challenging due to the increased traffic at the art fair. We highly recommend biking or using public transit.

Bike

Minnehaha Falls Park is conveniently located along the Minneapolis Grand Rounds Trail and just off Hiawatha and Minnehaha Trails.  With Minnehaha Falls being a popular summertime destination, along with additional attendance for the Art Fair, we encourage you to bike to help alleviate traffic and parking congestion.  Here's a handy map to help you plan your route:

Light Rail

Minnehaha Falls Park is also conveniently located adjacent to the Blue Line Light Rail. We highly recommend parking at the Fort Snelling Park and Ride Lot and riding the Blue Line to the 50th Street/Minnehaha Station. From there, you will have an 8 minute walk to the fair (just a few short blocks!). Watch this short video demonstrating the trip! >>>>>>

And thanks support from Metro Transit, you can ride the Light Rail to and from the fair for FREE all weekend long!  Just follow these links to download your free passes:

The bus is another great option as there are several lines with stops within a block of the park.

Driving

From Highway 62: Take the MN-55 W/Minnehaha Ave exit toward Hiawatha Ave. Turn Right on E 54th St. Continue onto Minnehaha Avenue. At the traffic circle, take the first right onto Godfrey Parkway. The park and parking lots will be on the right.

From Downtown Minneapolis/Highway 94 E: Take MN-55 E/Hiawatha Ave. Turn left on E 32nd Street. Turn Right on Minnehaha Ave. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Godfrey Parkway. The park and parking lots will be on the right.

Parking

There are three pay parking lots available on-site. However, these lots fill up very quickly. The neighborhoods directly to the North and West of the park have free street parking available. Be sure to check street signage for any parking restrictions.
